Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill leaves practice with apparent leg injury, per reports

In honor of Tom Brady’s 40th birthday we attempted to list 40 great accomplishments by the G.O.A.T. in 40 seconds. It was a doozy.

Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill left practice Thursday after suffering a non-contact leg injury in Thursday’s practice, according to several media reports.

Tannehill, who missed the Dolphins’ final four games last season with MCL and ACL injuries in his left knee, took an awkward spill after scrambling towards the sideline during a team drill, which left him on the ground momentarily with teammates surrounding.

The team did not provide further detail of the injury, but the Sun-Sentinel (Fla.) reports that Tannehill’s surgically-repaired knee appeared to buckle. After the injury last season, Tannehill decided not to have surgery and instead had a stem cell procedure that allowed him to participate in all of Miami’s offseason program.

Matt Moore is the Dolphins’ backup quarterback, while Brandon Doughty and David Fales are also under contract.
