Evan Longoria became the second player in Tampa Bay Rays history to hit for the cycle in a 6-4 win over the Houston Astros.
Longoria began his historic night with a two-run home run in the first inning, handing the Rays a 2-0 lead. The third baseman logged an RBI triple in the third before singling in the seventh inning. To cap off the cycle, Longoria doubled in the top of the ninth.
The sixth player to hit for the cycle this season, Longoria went 4-for-5 with three RBI on the night. The only other Rays player to accomplish this feat was B.J. Upton in 2009.
